Just love those trees

I like how you have managed all that green foliage , always a difficult task.

Great shadowy contrasts in the foliage. Fine work.

Great painting Martin.

Lovely painting Martin, so many lovely greens and good reflections.

Very fine watercolour Martin.

As many have said Martin, the greens are excellently handled. I also really like the sharpness you’ve left on the fence.

I really like the lights and shadows Martin, and the greens too!

Really nice work Martin. Love the water and foliage.

The shadows work great Martin.

This is fantastic, beautiful trees and sense of place. A winner

You're such a good draftsman, Martin. Fence and warm earth by it really nice, as is the handling of the space between the beautifully drawn/painted trees. Captivating painting.

Great contrasts and shadows... memories of childhood picnics.

Really appreciate your comments everyone. Thank you

Yes, those trees are REALLY good!

Great work as always Martin.

Thanks Heather and Diane

Great greens Martin! Love the strong contrasts in the light and shadow areas.

View from the east end of the lake just above the weir outlet. I was attracted to the deep dark shadows contrasting with pale tree trunks and sandy bank. Started as pencil sketch en plein air and completed in studio with watercolour. On Studio Essentials rough block 16x12”
