Beadnell Bay, Northumberland
Acrylic on board. This is one of a series of paintings of this lovely beach. In this painting I wanted to restrict my colour palette to mainly greens and blues, but allowed a few earthy tones to creep in towards the end. It was an interesting exercise in colour. The layers of paint and creation of texture were mainly applied with a soft flexible kitchen spatula.
