Low Newton Beach
Acrylic on paper. I started this painting about 4 months ago and put it aside, unsure of how to resolve the painting, with many aspects that didn’t feel right. Today I think I’ve finally finished it after several days of work. I tend to apply layers of paint, sometimes with a palette knife, scraping the surface with colour to deposit other colours over the raised parts from below and then fine brushes for details. I think I enjoy the process of applying the paint as much as creating the picture.
