I can hear the music, fab detail and a riot of colour, wonderful.

A jolly crew Lew! Don’t think I’ve seen it before: like the colour and life in it.

So jolly - just full of charm!!

Don't tell me...your old man's a dustman! This must be the original supergroup, great stuff.

A very jolly painting - lovely, Lewis!

Great start to the day with a good Cooper , fabulous characters Lew.

Love it. Wish I was there!

Just the picture to brighten up a Monday morning, super colourful characters.

I love this - all they look as if they're having a wonderful time!

I'd love to have been in the pub that night!

Brilliant Lewis, they all look so familiar. Been in a few pub bands myself but we were never as well turned out as these!

Thanks for looking and your much appreciated comments. I’ve watched a few pub bands over the years. My wife’s brothers had one, one son’s in two, and now my grandson plays in pubs too. Being able to make music is a wonderful skill…wish I had it.

Such a happy group with some stunning detail Lewis.

Such a comical but also good natured and charming look to all your art Lewis. Your entire works are a delight . I was in several bands in my youth. Long ago. I played guitar. There's me sat at bottom left haha.

For some reason when I look at this i start hearing the Irish rover at the back of my mind. It was by the dubliners and the pogues back in the early 90s or late 80s. You might have heard it.

So full of life movement and amusement. A gem

Just delightful Lewis- captured a pub band to a “t”!

Brilliant work

Genius, beautiful captured emotions and expressions on faces. Whole painting is so cheerful and fun to watch. Exceptional piece!

Looking for something else I came across this. About 10 years old. Don't think I posted it before...if I did it would have been a while back. Pen and watercolour.

About the Artist
Lewis Cooper

Self taught. Love drawing. Like to make pictures up, without using reference pics, often in cartoon style. I do other pictures where I do use reference. I'm knocking on a bit, born in 1940 in Greenwich, London. Retired, and loving it.
