Thanks very much for your comments. I’ve only seen a gurning comp once, way back in the 70’s whilst on holiday somewhere, but I believe they still happen.

For those who don't know. 'Gurning' is an old English Tradition, you stick your head through a toilet seat, or piece of horse harness, and pull a face.
