A fantastic painting William

Thank you everyone for all you great comments and yes your probably right Alan, Alwyn Crawshaw was my favourite artist,s when I used to watch him on telly and I have him to thank for my interest in landscape paintings. Before watching him I had no interest in art whatsoever but he made it look so effortless and just seemed to roll off his brush and yes I tried to emulate some of his work in the beginning but found it was not easy in any way and I think that me copying him say with his trees helped me a lot but I will never be like the true master himself. He is to me one of the best and I’m forever grateful to him plus I used to speak to him on the phone and get Christmas cards from him and June. I sometimes think he’s one of the forgotten artist,s who did a lot to help the beginner but he was in the right place at the right time although it was a long struggle before some one spotted the potential for tv and books. To me he’s kind of a modern day Constable which Alwyn loved! But that’s just my opinion and someone will tell me otherwise? Thank you all I’m very grateful! 👍🙏

It was a great tv series, I also enjoyed watching him paint and being inspired. I’ve got one of his drawings which also appears in one of his books! Keep up the good work…

Well imagined and executed. A delight

Watercolour on Magnani 140lb, 20”x16”. Just done from imagination, always like painting tree scenes and I’m still learning and always will with art!
