I like Fabriano Artistico 'not' Russ and use it a lot but Bockingford is good too 140 lbs wt (a bit cheaper) and doesn't cockle much but if you want to put loads of watery paint on its best to use 200lbs wt. hope this is some help to you Russ.

Fabulous work Carole , lovely crisp flowers against the superb background which students of the medium could learn a lot by studying , it's amazing how many times one gets asked about painting backgrounds it seems to give people a lot of trouble .
