Biography

I started painting about nine years ago when I retired. I have attended some workshops and classes but am mainly self taught and struggling. I paint for fun and enjoy the challenge watercolor brings. I think it is a difficult medium to work in but perhaps I'm a slow learner. I'm adding to my bio as all the above still applies but I've moved on a little bit since I wrote that. I still enjoy the occasional workshop with artists I admire if I'm fortunate to get a place. I find reading magazines like The Artist and art books helpful too but mainly it's trial and error don't you think? Lots of errors in my case but I tell myself its only a piece of paper. Its an exciting and frustrating journey at the same time but I love the challenge of it.
