This is Clapham, North Yorkshire, a village at the foot of Ingleborough, and this is based on a photo I took in March two years ago on the way back after climbing up the mountain. Been meaning to paint this ever since, but kept putting it off as it’s not my usual thing. Watercolour, french ultramarine, permanent rose, transparent yellow, aureolin, yellow ochre.14x10".
