I’m stumped Marjorie! Excellent jigsaw piece…..
I'm just doing a painting in watercolour because I haven't used them for a few weeks. Is after a fine painter. I'll be putting it on the gallery when I've finished.
two great paintings but I have-not a clue. But I will follow with interest. I had time to play with pastel pencils, this week end and I thought as I like harlequins, I would try this one.
Good one, Alan. Degas, definitely…bit of research comes up with Harlequin and Columbina. My Rembrandt was “ Man in Armour” - so well done Jenny. I have an old book of Rembrandt paintings, I took it from that but it wasn’t a brilliant reproduction in the book.
That’s interesting, Marjorie, the same painting appeared under both names when I looked it up again, although The Young Warrior was listed as a small print.  Alan, love your harlequin painting.
Super painting Marjorie and Alan, that's a great Harlequin.
From a well known image by another Post Impressionist. (Not particularly well painted - just retrieved it from the bin!)

I cheated Jenny  Toulouse Lautrec  ….nice representation.
Sylvia, yes, it’s his Jane Avril poster which she commissioned to advertise her cabaret at the Jardin de Paris. I love his colourful posters.  (Don’t think you can cheat in this challenge, can you?!)
I did….
I had a T. Lautrec poster when I was a student…I wouldn’t have guessed this one, Jenny. And what’s this about cheating, Sylvia?🤨
I’m shocked Sylvia , I can’t believe that you would be so devious and cheat I think I will need to sit down and have a small tot of  rum , just to help with the shock  of course. Cheating I can’t believe it what’s the forum coming  too , good heavens the PM will be breaking rules and telling fibs next,   ohh the thought of it make it a bigger tot  please .  This is really a great challenge and great fun to see , it’s what POL is about I think apart from the paintings that is., like minded people enjoying the art and banter.
