I glad someone is taking care of you a Kevin,  Fiona is really good to help. I’m sure it will be nice to get out painting. I’m dreading the day I have to stop driving. Look after yourself and keep tuned into POLand the forum.

I think this is the still the right place to post this - the postcard challenge has got a bit lost among all the other comments.  Anyway, this is another attempt - it nearly got binned more than once and hasn’t turned out quite as planned (but do they ever!) ‘Spring will lift our spirits’

Looks good to me Jenny and a lovely sentiment. At least the evenings will be lighter now even if we can’t go out, we can get in the garden.
My entry for ‘Paint a Postcard’  Created  using water based markers Dreaming of Summer
Superb work for Jenny and Lynne.
Not my art work , I came across this old poster on line from a time when we were under great stress and fearful. I did think it relevant to the current situation.
It is Dixie, the news commentators often compare our current situation to wartime...not quite the same, but we know what they mean.  A lot of these old posters are relevant.  'Keep calm on carry on' comes to mind...although we have to 'carry on' in a totally different way.
You are right Lew not the same, but the same in that we are fearful as a nation and a world. Lots of difference, and as you say people are likening it to war time as it’s the only event for a long time that is actually threatening us all. On a cheerful note the sun is shining and the air is free, so out into the garden or for a walk, keeping our distance of course.
Another small indicator of the situation...I got my phone bill, unsurprisingly it's shot up.  (Thank goodness for phones.)  However, to add a little balance...I'm spending nothing on petrol, I haven't been out.
The irony is that petrol is cheaper than it’s been for ages, but nowhere to go! Re your phone bill, obviously I don’t know who you’re with and I assume you mean your home phone, but we were able to change our deal from evenings and weekends only, to anytime calls for an extra few pounds a month. This was before the current situation but has more than covered the extra calls.

Another one for the postcard challenge, which seems to have got a bit lost again in this thread! Spring Hellebores

That's a stunning painting, Jenny.  Gorgeous color and design.  I'd forgotten about the postcard competition, there's so much else going on.  This thread started with me saying my art group had closed, the postcard bit seems to have got lost along the way.  I'll try to do something.
