Im up for carry on, with new thread or this one, Paul a hundred pages sound fun, theadmin won't know what hit them. I have had a week off this week, by doing a sketch a day over the last month, I now can't seem to stop, you have inspired me to different subject, styles and just get my paints out, and post results without fear of failure. Thanks all.

Lesley, my deepest sympathy to you and your family, hope you find peace and comfort in the coming days ahead. Blimey that’s three pages since I commented last.....you are a brilliantly productive lot! Well done to everyone. Mine is a very quick and scratchy sketch of a Waxwing, done with ink pen and a little watercolour.Fiona, that is fantastic. I think we should have a thread dedicated to February along similar lines, even though I am not quite so regular with my contributions! There are so many excellent contributions I would get in a muddle singling them all out. However, I am enjoying the variety.![]()

Please forgive me for not commenting or contributing since day 9. My mum became ill and I had to be with her 24/7. She passed away peacefully a few days ago.. im trying catch up with this month, but find the 50 pages are a little to taxing. So keep up the lovely work and I will join in again after everything is sorted. No time for even the smallest of sketches...I am missing that, but mum always came first......I am sorry to hear that. All the best. As usual Fiona has expressed what I would say much more eloquently than me. Gudrun

Alan that’s a lovely soft rose delicately done, and Dixie your owl feathers are superb! I also love owls and used to work in a converted farm building where we had a Little Owl often perched on the roof very near.
I’m so glad there’s interest in continuing through February but agree we should probably start a new thread before we blow up the site! I’d like to keep the subject variety we’ve achieved during January, but happy to go with the flow.
