I second that Lesley. So sorry to hear about your Mum. X
So sorry to hear about your mother Lesley.  Anjana has said it beautifully, please accept my condolences too.
Anjana, what a very cute dog, and Margaret and Marjorie two lovely different landscapes. I was having my morning cuppa when I noticed the peculiar shadows from my door handle, so a quick sketch with biro.
Very sorry to hear about your mother, Lesley. Hope to see your work again when you feel able.
I haven’t been contributing to this, but the sketches are fabulous. Lesley, my condolences to you 💕
Sad news about your mum Lesley, my condolences to you, and I hope you feel up to painting soon. Tessa nice little sketch of you door , strange how inspiration shouts out sometimes, I also like your postbox. I like your heron Linda a good start. The background is the one thing I aim to work on this year as I always wimp out. Great Abstract Linda. Anjana love your little dog. Margaret lovely mono Crome sketch, and Marjorie lovely pen and wash painting. I have attempted to paint our Jack Russell again,
Thank you all for your generous comments on my sketches, Tessa there is something quite romantic about train stations isn't there? Love your postbox and door handle with interesting shadow, fabulous sketches. Think I am looking at things with more of an artist's eye as a result of this challenge. Linda your heron is coming on nicely, lovely sense of movement, like seeing how you started in the drawing with the skeleton shapes. Alan great sketch of market, with all the produce laid out and jack Russell he seems so full of life. Paul wonderful barn owl, I love owls. Marjorie adorable sleepy cat poses on back of the bill and the beautiful garden scene - like how you used variety of marks for the foliage, also the colour combination. Margaret pen and wash of weeping birch - so effective, I find the progress of your abstract fascinating Fiona. Now what to sketch ..

Sorry to hear about your mum Lesley, hope you back with us soon. Great work from everyone again, no time today for sketching so here's one from the sketch book which ended up as a painting which was posted on the gallery a year or so back.
Thankyou, you lovely people,. I will be back so very soon,. Miss expressing my creativity, you've all done so well keeping up.with this one...
Day 29!  A quick pheasant from a photo of my own.  Caran D'Ache Museum Aquarelle pencils, some watercolour paint, and fountain pen on CP paper.  Was drawing all morning at art class but, as it was a nude, won't post it online.    Beautiful garden, Marjorie - love the line and that delicate wash; Tessa, amazing what we can spot when we are looking to do a sketch!  very nicely observed and drawn; Alan, you have really captured the Jack Russell character; Linda - very imaginative and beautifully drawn/painted. Two more days!

I would like to offer my condolences Lesley, I’m sure you will soon be back in the swing of things. Wow what a lot of great work in the past 24 hrs. I’ve just returned home from working out in the sunshine all day, cold but really nice. Spent the time replacing a wattle fence around the hillfort, every rewarding. Cheated today as I’m using  painting done yesterday.
What a variation again - doorknobs can be fascinating! Well, everything can be if you really look. How did you feel about your second attempt Alan? Sometimes there aren't so many problems to solve the second time around - interesting if you try a different medium too. Your fairy / nymph painting I remember, Linda, a lovely progression from the sketch. Margaret, your pheasant is very attractive, good movement. Paul, you were just getting ahead of yourself, you're excused ( did it myself earlier in the month ). I bought some daffs at Tesco today and then thought of my oil pastels, which I haven't used for a long time ( Sennelier ). Haven't got many colours so had to make do. Then I added the wrong date!
