Another day of lovely works, making my doorknob look rather feeble! Must try harder tomorrow. Your dog looks like a bit of a character Alan! Some beautiful fairies from Linda, lovely idea and I like the cobwebs. Cracking pheasant Margaret just lifting off, and two good old boats from Dixie. Marjorie your daffs are beautifully done. I also bought a bunch from Tesco and mine have opened in a day or so, so they might well be tomorrow’s effort, as they’re not going to last long. Anjana, yes railway stations are great places for sketching. I love Paddington especially where I usually have time to kill waiting for the train home. Apparently if you travel by Northern Rail you would have time for a full oil painting while waiting for your train!
Sounds like interesting but tiring work Dixie - no wonder you did your boat painting yesterday!  Looks really good in watercolour.  Lovely daffs, Marjorie.

Lesley, my deepest sympathy to you and your family, hope you find peace and comfort in the coming days ahead. Blimey that’s three pages since I commented last.....you are a brilliantly productive lot!  Well done to everyone. Mine is a very quick and scratchy sketch of a Waxwing, done  with ink pen and  a little watercolour.
Rather nice Fiona - looks oriental, the colours and composition.
I agree with Marjorie, an oriental look.  Lovely, lively sketch - always nice to see a waxwing!
Well our enthusiasm has certainly not faded in the last few days. Absolutely fabulous work - Linda's fairy, Margaret's pheasant, Paul's boats in watercolour, Marjorie's daffodils, Fiona's waxwing - what a lot of variety both in subject and sytle & medium. Mine is a tiny 6cmx9cm sketch I did at the temple today
That’s a lovely detailed sketch Anjana and again very different and interesting subject matter, also tiny indeed! Thursday morning is Art Group for me so I’ll probably do mine there. Only two to go! It’s been great fun and has made me constantly on the lookout for something to sketch, and maybe something different to what I would usually do. I think we’ve all inspired each other with our very different styles and subjects and that’s been really good and helpful. I for one would be happy to continue through February if anyone else is interested? Certainly I’ll try to do it myself even if I don’t post them. Margaret we owe you for starting this. 👍🏻😊🥰 I assume the medals for completing the month will be in the post next week!?
Many thanks from me as well Margaret, for starting this thread going. Not having access to an art club anymore, I miss the interaction with other members, and the ideas they can give you and the inspiration to carry on. So I for one will miss this when feb comes along, although I will carry on and post in the gallery . Anjana my sort of sketch, lots of freedom in your mark making, Fiona lovely waxwing, as others have commented very oriental. For todays picture I have completed a picture of a rose and rose buds, the style of which came from Anjana fuchsias back on the 22nd.
That's a lovely little detailed sketch Anjana and I love those delicate colours in Alan's roses. I think that my daffs will feature somehow today, they already look very different im full bloom.
Great work folks, well the last but one for the month, it seems to have gone quick.  I’ll keep Tessa company if we continue through February, might start to struggle for ideas. I have a great love of owls, particularly tawny owl, lots of sketches and paintings of the in the draw. I though a I would have a go at some of the delicate feathers, surprising how complex they are. Must try to do something special for tomorrow.  I’ll wait till I pick my new glasses up, might be able to see what I’m doing.
Thank you all for your kind words. I am happy to continue too Tessa, although can't guarantee I will be as regular, what do   you say Margaret either with the next theme #LandscapeFebruary or keep it the same with general sketch? I am flattered Alan you've used that technique looks great the rose petals look so dainty, delicate feathers with the beautiful markings Paul. Looking forward to your daffs Marjorie wonder what medium you'd choose?

Beautiful detailed temple sketch, Anjana - and so small.     Virtual medals only I'm afraid!  Beautiful rose, Alan; and love the delicate owl feathers, Dixie. I'm so glad you have enjoyed it - I was worried no one would want to join in!   I have enjoyed it as well - lots of fun and loved the variety of beautiful paintings and topics.  I'd better remember to do today's sketch  - don't want to fail at the end! There does seem to be a bit of interest in continuing.   I would suggest setting up another thread as we are already at page 56 - what do you think?
