Second attempt at loading today’s as it just disappeared?. Went out to move some wind  blown stuff behind the shed and notice this scene, a quick photo and a bit of watercolour.
Such opportunities Dixie! This is a lovely composition and good rich colours. Linda I love your delicate roses and lady, Lew I really like the solidity and curviness of your figure, and Margaret you’re really getting some lovely effects with your new pencils even with only a few colours. I especially like the bluey grey. Christopher your jewel is super, seems you can tackle any subject, sketch group sounds really good. Linda, Broadway tower is about 20 minutes from here and I’ve never visited it! Now you’ve made me want to climb up it, maybe in the spring. We’ve been to the site and driven past many times but never tackled the climb! I’ll add it to my list for 2020.
Good grief, I can’t keep up with all your fantastic sketches,....some deserve more than the title of sketch. Very accomplished pieces of work. Margaret you’ve captured Galloway  countryside perfectly, especially the colours in the landscape, love that blue/grey on the hills....brilliant I’m just off to do mine, the sun is shinning today! It will be a quickie though....it’s cold.
The subjects keep on rolling in. All very different, all well observed and carried out to a high standard. Here is my offering for today, its of St Edmonds Chapel Hunstanton, in Norfolk. I the back ground you can see Hunstanton light house. It is now used as a holiday let. This subject was one of my first ever water colours.
I like how the archway frames the view Alan, brick work is also very good. Today’s sketch started off loose and bright, as the sun has shone today, but, it got tighter and tighter. The end result is awful and if I had the time to do another I wouldn’t be posting this! Dreadful..... bring back the dreich, I can do that. However, this is today’s.
This is really good Fiona, don’t beat yourself up over it. If you had not said no one would notice anything, we all have a tendency to look at our work negatively when we are not sure about it.
Just made it!
My you have been busy great work everyone, will catch-up more. I am liking this challenge because it is making me look through those old photos that I took thinking they'll be handy one day. Today's subject this quirky tree with a face in the University of Nottingham campus sketched in pencil and inktense pencil.

Beautiful sketch of Broadway Linda and Alan of St Edmond's chapel, lot of detail there and clever framing of the lighthouse. Paul fabulous subject and a wonderful rendition in watercolour. Fiona lovely watercolour, beautiful blue sky and depiction of the rocks, we are our own harshest critic, certainly not awful as you describe it! I have too many of those days when tightness creeps in, wouldn't it be wonderful if brushes could detect tightness and stop dispensing paint :-)

Today’s, as I was getting the recycling ready looked at the cans and thought that will do. I think  as well as the artwork the chatter on this thread is brilliant, and it’s so good the see the interaction among others.

Dixie that’s cracking! You have such an eye for a good subject in the every day scene.  An unusual start to the day that’s made me think what can I find today that’s a bit different? Hmmm...
