Thanks Tessa, I found a free photograph and had to try and sketch it. Not sure if you can tell, it's a cable car. I don't watch tv anymore, I'm either painting or sketching.
Excellent sketching Denise brings back a lot of memories of times spent in the Alps.
The cable car is very atmospheric Denise! I started out yesterday using inktense pencils plus’s wash but got so sucked in it took a lot longer than a sketch! I was delighted to find these beautiful, enormous autumn crocus!
I love autumn crocus they are always an unexpected surprise, like these a lot Gillian.   A great cable car appearing out of the mists Denise, I’ve never been to the alps my cable car memories are from Hong Kong also often in the mist. Started this Buzzards feather yesterday they perch around my garden and donate me their feathers  .   It’s in inktense pencil so far I’ve added no water ,I’m in two minds as I like the effect of just the coloured pencil.. will finish this one and try another . This is also in my concertina book.

Finished.
Lovely work on the feather Sylvia you have really captured the texture and colours 👌
Thanks Bari.
Your feather is so good Sylvia , it’s very delicate looking . I was looking back at some of  my sketches and found this one . I was drawn on a cold day , when the trawler was aground having broken its tow . I can’t believe that it was back in 1984 in Findhorn bay on the Moray Firth . As I’m currently doing a series of trawler paintings at the moment I might do this again as I know I have one done , all be it some twenty years ago it’s somewhere in the old paintings, must dig it out.
Well I found the painting , it was done in 95 , just after I started to paint and it’s on Archers paper obviously had more money in them days . I now think what a waste of good paper.
From cable cars to feathers, flowers and ships, nothing like a bit of variety and I love them all!  This is mine for today, drawn from the car- the beginning of a walk where I sometimes take our dog.
Like the movement in this Tessa.  Yes our daily sketches are varied. Paul It’s funny how stuff reappears after great lengths of time..   go for it and redo it .I think it will be excellent.

It's nice to see a good variety of sketches, even though I don't put a sketch on every day, I look a few times a day to see what you have all posted. I've just done this now but the bridge looks wonky, it all looks a bit wonky but I must admit, my lamp is pretty dim and my eyes are tired this evening and if I can think of any more excuses, I'll let you know. I really do need to do some practice on cityscapes.
