Hello September! Autumn is round the corner! To start the month here’s a charcoal sketch off a lone standing stone as the sun begins to set
Good strong drawing.  On Orkney?   I did a painting of the standing stones Callanish  on  Lewis .
Yes Sylvia it is here in Orkney! Stands alone between the Ring of Brodgar and the Stenness standing stones.
Nice sketch Gillian and well done for setting this up.  In the garden having a pigeon for lunch , both my granddaughters where total occupied watching .
Great.sketch Paul,  awesome to see a bird of prey in your garden! I can imagine how mesmerised your Granddaughters must have been. I am on a roll so here is another sketch
You certainly are on a roll Gillian, I've only just realised we've moved into September, thanks for keeping the thread going, I'll be getting my sketch book out this week as soon as I've tried that tree on the community video. Nice sketch Paul.
Great to see this still going! Can I re-join? Haven’t done much for a few months but have kept an eye on what everyone else has been doing, and finally dug out the pen and stuff while waiting at the station earlier today. I also started to  sketch some people waiting on the platform  but of course the train arrived so that was literally seconds.  Love the Orkney sketches Gillian, and Dixie, wow, a bird of prey in your garden! Super sketch.

Great to see you back Tessa!  Typical for train to arrive in the middle of your sketching … the joys of working en plein  air . Nice sketches.
Thanks Gillian, yes I should have known! Morning walk today, took a little sketch pad in my pocket as I used to much of last year.
