Happy portrait.  I so agree portraits of people close are so difficult.I am still relying g to find a pic of my Bill that I can work up to something worthwhile.  I think I’ve got over the Ken  Dodd  look and the latest sketch I have done looks like his youngest son.  I will keep at it. Have had another go with white gel pen.  They do flow nicely .  I have collections of all things gathered from out doors.  So back on my feather theme.

That’s a beautiful looking tiger Gillian and it’s done beautifully. A gel pen sketch with a bit of stippling, hunters moon a5 on black paper .
Two nice big cats Gillian and Paul had a bit of a hectic day, all the front windows replaced..so pulled this out of the archives..Lion triptych.
Lots of lovely big cats . A couple of gel pen sketches, one is a selfie of me in deep through , I’m told I scratch my head when I’m thinking .
🤣  very handsome you are too Paul! 😵‍💫  what brand of black paper are you using? I ran out of black pastel paper on Sunday they were out of a mixed colour glued pad. I have ordered a pad of Clairefontaine multi-technique black paper but it might be smoother than the sheets I have been using.
It's great to see your work on the gallery Gillian and good sketches Paul.
