Ely is lovely, good sketch Alan.  Good tractor too, Paul.  I, too, have been doing time limited sketches at class. 3x5, mins 30 mins and one hour.
There are no art clubs here in Orkney which is a pity so no life models in the flesh either! God knows what they would look like if I did manage to have a go! I have just been having a play with charcoal again. Though it’s messy I really love using it! I have ordered a set of Unison pastels which was a total extravaganza at £200 ( but should have been £290) you can get away with this behaviour when you are on your own! However even I have said no more Mrs! 😂
Isn’t it too cold to expose flesh in Orkney Gillian?  I’m envious of your unison pastels though.  I have a set of Rembrandt pastels, but some there is little left of some colours.  Can you buy individual colours in any make? Nice sketch though.
Excellent sketching Gillian why not start your own art group ...I started one 16 years ago after I retired and its still going,  lost a few members during covid but just had 3 new members join us...
Nice free sketch Gilli@; an£ lovely life drawings Linda I do mis£ my LD…stupid£ eyes.  Gillian there is a site called Croquis   Cafe online with life drawing sessions.  It used to be free  might be worth you looking up.
Thanks Sylvia I will have a look, are you on the gin this evening some interesting typing! 😘
Gosh I’m on a roll this evening!
Just looked Gillian, for a change no I am not.🙃 (on the gin) .  Somehow on both here and FB it does it’s own thing  and is driving me potty. Tessa can usually sort out glitches.   It’s quite inventive when I reread it.

I had a similar problem Sylvia , my ten year old granddaughter said I had enabled a drop down screen on my keyboard. She went into settings and change it on my keyboard setting and I have had no problems since , in future I will just get her to sort out my it problems.
Wish she could sort out my fat fingers , and stop me double pressing,.

I recognised the ring of Brodgar immediately Gillian - very striking.  Bari I had to wait for one of those frigates to pass, before the Torpoint ferry could progress the other day, HMS Westminster, I do believe.  But what do those round things on top do?  I ought to know considering where I live, but I don’t.

Two really good sketches Gillian . A very quick watercolour from me using four colours, Alizarin Crimson . Dark purple, Payne’s Grey and Lemon Yellow. Done as a exercise using few colours and time limited .
