The paper that had the wash actually pulled the ink out of the pen, so the lines are thicker than I would normally do..but once started I had to finish it.
Excellent sketch over the last few days , I seem be be absorbed in a painting at the moment but took the time last night to sketch . A gel pen sketch and two pencil sketches, I need the practice with portraits. A finish of a horse sketch but will put that in the gallery.
Don’t think I have used gel pens Paul. Not sure what they are ..  you are getting  nice  results with them  Are they like Posca  pens Picked  this  guy from the garden a hour ago , I I am wearing  gloves and being ujltra careful   I often pick fungi  from the fields to have on toast  but not this one ..  this second one is a shaggy ink cap I found on the lanes.  I didn’t use it straight away, I used it a couple of hours after picking and noticed it is leaking colour.  So I have used it as an imprint, messed about with the inky stuff and added a bit of pen work.  Interesting.

Great idea of the ink cap Sylvia also great sketch of the vibrant toadstool. I am very allergic to mushrooms etc so keep we’ll clear!
Think most of us could be mortally allergic to the fop one .
Ha ha, these fat fingers keep me entertained, Sylvia.
Fop to you Marjorie 😊

Absolutely Sylvia 🤣
Like your shaggy ink caps Sylvia..I've done a different view of the hall still not working but I'll keep trying
Some lovely fungi Sylvia , with good advice to boot. A lovely sketch Bari, your sketches are so detailed add always so good. From me today a fifteen minute exercise , it’s on pastel paper and is a slightly bigger than a5. The original was in black and white , I have shown the full painting and the cropped version.  white .
I do like the simplicity of these . Your horse pics improve with each one you do.
