Well I am still just looking in and the occasional chat. Desperate to get sketching and finishing a pastel painting I started a few weeks ago, however I have my sister staying at the moment and is camped out in my studio on the day bed. I am hoping she will be moving into her recently acquired flat this weekend! Then I can get some work done!

Like Gillian I’ve been looking but not doing! I received a book of short stories by Victoria Hislop whose books I love, and read one called The Priest and the Parrot. The priest is described as having a thicket of a beard that covers the lower part of his face, so I thought I’d have a go at that! Quick pen sketch- surprising where ideas come from at times.

That's looking good Bari. I'm working on a painting at the moment, I've been busy with it the past few days but of an evening, I've been trying to learn about art and keep up with my sketching. I look at the techniques section quite a lot and I am looking at figures. These little figures were an exercise and although it was a watercolour exercise, I did a quick charcoal version of the figures then tried to do some sort of placement for them. It's just quick to get some practice of cafe scenes. Something I'm not use too. I'm also trying to rearranged my conservatory, I need a bigger space to work. The art seems to be squeezing me out of the living space. Not that I mind much but I need to keep areas, not art related, for family, friends and visitors.

think that was it.
I'm trying something new I've put a light watercolour wash on my hot press paper and filled my rotring art pen with Berol Burnt Sienna art ink. The picture is Walton Hall idid a walk around the grounds this morning, sketching and photographers.
