Love the sheep sketch Sylvia.
Thank you George...I live in sheep country.
I live just two miles from the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth so I'm also surrounded by sheep  Sylvia. They are strange but fascinating animals aren't they?
Some wonderful portraits in this thread lately. And the sheep of course. They do look menacing don't they? Here's another watercolour landscape sketch from me. I want the sky and the water to look a bit more loose and lively, while still looking like a sky and water. I'll get there eventually I guess.
I love that pooch Marjorie. Here is an oldish one of mine.  I have acquired a couple of chucks recently and just had my breakfast egg.
Sylvia… I love this style of sketching - just my thing!
A couple of basic sketch for possible use in a painting at some point , I have a sketchbook thst I use solely for maritime sketches . The second one is a ship in a foggy sea .
Great sketches everyone. I finished my portrait today. I didn't plan on doing a posting as it has come about in sad circumstances. The family would like me to post it although, I won't be posting it on the gallery. I thought about it before posting. My thoughts are, as artists, we express all manner of things. It's a documentation of time and a place. it's how they know we were here and in that time and place, we did exist. Fly with the wind Lee.
That’s very sad news Denise but I understand your sentiments. It’s a very good portrait and I’m sure will give great comfort to your family.
Thanks Marjorie, I finished it as the light was going. I'll look over it again tomorrow in natural light before I do the fixative and framing.
It’s a beautiful portrait Denise and I know your family will love it.
A lovely sensitive portrait Denise. My sympathies.
