Your sketch of the traction engine should make a good painting, Paul. Very good portrait, Tessa. The paper has given it a subtle texture. Denise, keep going with the portrait practice.  I find that using the basic guidance on proportions and placement works well in getting a fair likeness. Charcoal makes it easier to put in the important shadows. I hope to do some more myself this weekend.
Good start Dixie, like to see the finale picture. More cracking portraits. Here is my attempt at vintage transport.
That’s a really good sketch , lovely old milk float still the odd one about and in use. Ah the days when milk bottles rattle in the crates, as we lay in bed and thought bloody milkman.
Love the ‘vintage’ vehicle pictures! Beautiful day here in Orkney! I just sketched This view en plain air in the garden . Experimenting with soft pastel crayons.
The variety of sketches is wonderful and every always does such a good job. Here is my offering today. Plenty of practice need but I think my shading is a pip better than last time.
Here is a made up face, but I'm trying to practice with the shading. I am going to be doing faces all weekend. Fear not though, I won't put everyone on here.
Mine is a quick squiggly biro sketch keeping the pen on the paper.
Lovely sketch Tessa,It must have been hard keeping the pen on the paper. Here is another on I did. I'm going to try and apply myself a bit more over the weekend.
I’m days behind on this but some cracking sketches and portraits. Mine today are a couple of poppy pictures for Remembrance Sunday to put in the window.
These are lovely Katy.
Love poppies
My sketches, I've turned it into a painting now, a good exercise for me.
