Thank you Tessa and Margret for the photo upload tip.. will certainly give it a go next time around.. your sketches are fantastic.
Thanks Nandhini. Here’s my quick sketch today, a helping hand for those constantly washed hands! My husband said ‘are you that bored that you’re drawing E45?’ And the answer is.....?
Haha that was a good remark and joke from your husband.. but must say you made the mundane extraordinary honestly..
Here’s my Waitrose coffee cup..
This is one of my sketches for the Sky Portrait artist of the week on Facebook  and Bernardine Evaristo is the 2019 Booker prize winning author. I did a graphite sketch while it was live online..
That’s a very good subtle portrait and likeness Nandhini.
Dixie, those leaves were beautifully drawn - very delicate too.    Thanks Nandhini, super sketches, especially the portrait.    Nicely drawn Tessa - and at least you weren't bored with drawing!
Thank you Tessa and Margaret.. really enjoying this feature so thank you..
Glad you are enjoying this Nandhini.   Here is another watercolour practice from yesterday - based on photos of an amazing sunset at Kippford last year with heavy fog drifting up from the Solway.
Wow Margaret the colours in the sky are superb. You will be doing a Turner soon with the bid East Anglian sky’s. I was always amazed ate who big the sky looked due to the relatively flat ground. You certainly have nailed the washes.
That’s another beauty Margaret, this is developing into a superb series. I bought a book some years ago, How to paint like Turner, published by the Tate Gallery, I do refer to it occasionally. It’s basically covering his techniques of watercolour painting, obviously includes his colours etc, really good book.  Demonstrations in it also, but unfortunately it doesn’t guarantee that you’ll be able to paint like the great man - but you can always hope!
Thank you very much Dixie and Alan.   That Turner book sounds good - I'm just winging it!   I wasn't sure whether I should be posting them on this thread as they are paintings (albeit quick ones) rather than traditional "sketches" with pencil or ink but if nobody minds, I will continue.
