Lovely flowers both , so I thought I’d join you! This is a couple of the last of my birthday bouquet  from over two weeks ago, so they’ve lasted well, although the roses with them have been binned.

I've had roses that don't open too, Dixie - very disappointing when that happens - you have captured it beautifully.  Lovely bright fresh sketch, Tessa.

Oooh! That’s very effective Margaret, missed this yesterday. I like the wide angle look and the figures against the sky. This is a sketch on my morning walk today of Upper Slaughter Manor Hotel across the fields. Pencil, pen and Tombow wash pens.
Lovely flowers yesterday Tessa and great sheep in front of the Manor. Great figures on the skyline and a superb sky Margaret. Today is a pen and watercolour of an old winch at Dungeness. Thanks Margaret don’t know what happened.

Dixie, your sketch is missing!
Thanks Tessa, that sketch works really well with the limited colours - lovely.   Thanks Dixie, really nicely done winch.  I like those lovely old bits of machinery you have been digging up.   Easy done not to post, Dixie!   I tend to type my notes on the laptop and then upload the photo using the phone - sometimes I get interrupted/or just forget, and no photo!   In fact, I'm just going to do that now - photo when it arrives is of another practice watercolour from an old photo of mine.   A misty Autumn morning (I think) looking over to Kilchurn Castle, Loch Awe.

That’s excellent Margaret, the castle in the misty distant looks great.
Thank you Dixie :)
I’m liking these watercolours Margaret, this format always works well also. Great work Tessa and Paul also, some interesting drawings!
Thank you Alan - I probably should try some other formats but quite a lot of the photos I'm basing them on don't have terribly interesting foregrounds - and I do like a big wide sky! Very quick sketch out of the window this morning.

Nice one Margaret. I decided to do a pencil sketch and used water soluble pencils, med and light was edged the leave with a pointed 2b pencil, time about 10 -12 minutes, nit that time matters , just wanted a challenge.
Like the bin man and lorry Margaret, very lively, and Dixie I like the way your leaves curl around, very well observed.
