Sylvia, you couldn’t get a more exaggerated scale of two emotions. Happiness at the time spent on this day, then followed by the turmoil of the events of your husbands fall. We don’t always want to think of the bad times but we need that perspective to treasure and create the good times. Each one of your sketches acts as a snapshot of your memories and I envy your treasured sketchbooks......my records are hit and miss!  I have long admired your work, and you, for your strength, courage and determination. Thank you for sharing this particular sketch and memory and putting life into perspective......enjoy what you can, when you can. 😘 P.S. love your sketch !
Today’s sketch is along the river walk in valley below my house.  Very old rickety ‘bridge’  had a quick look at your added watercolour Sketch on gallery like them both Tessa. Lovely to have those memories Sylvia the sketch does that perfectly I am sure.

Lovely comments thank you .
I don’t often join this thread, but spotted your Bull Bay double-page sketch Sylvia. Having been to Anglesey on numerous occasions, I also love this gorgeous bay, there are so many others to explore also. Recording all your observations and memories in a sketchbook is so important, super work!
Bet it  lot cooler down by the river Gillian. Don’t know about anyone else, but I’m in one of those finding it difficult to do anything days, probably the heat. Today is a very quick sketch of an old car poking out of the garage. I’m working on a watercolour but the paint is dry to quick, will leave it till later.
It is about 30 degrees centigrade today! Was higher yesterday. I find that the heat makes me very sluggish Dixie, fortunately it’s cool in my cave house! Haven’t done any sketches today but it’s not the end of the day just yet ! You clearly love your vintage trucks, they make very interesting subjects.
Here’s today’s sketch,  first plain sketch then with a splash of colour. It’s my woodshed! Hopefully they will be the right way up!

Very nice  sketch Gillian.
Now the #lockdown has loosened its grip very slightly in some of my favoured regions for sketching and strolling, my sketchbook decided on Thoresby Estate. Only one small sketch today. As with other recent outdoor sketches, people seem eager to chat about what I’m doing. This would normally drive me nuts, but in present circumstances it’s quite nice.
Gillian I like your riverside walk, looks cool, also your courtyard and woodshed. Dixie, another good truck on the way, and Ian, good to see you posting here. I know what you mean about the chatters! For today, a little sketch of David Olusoga whose programme A House Through Time Starts this evening from Bristol and I think will be good. We watched the previous series from Liverpool and really enjoyed it.
Haven’t seen the programme Tessa, sounds interesting. Today a watercolour sketch of a boat on the lake early misty morning, well my interpretation of one.
Like the misty look Dixie. I found some stepping stones across a river on my walk today, might make a painting in future sometime.
