That’s a great picture Bari, living next to the sea I am a sucker for a boat! It’s a beautiful sunny day here in Orkney which is  great to see after all the. Storms and rain w e have had the past couple of months! Here’s a pastel sketch

Just been over the lane and sat and did a sketch with my tinted charcoal paint pan set. Result a bit basic but  it was cold sat there so more shakes than usual. !! 🤣

Gillian it’s a fine little painting, you really do  well despite your tremors and shakes .  Keep  at it as I’m sure it’s good for you , both physically and emotionally, and I get to see so many lovely sketch of where you live.

Both lovely Bari and Gillian. I don't really bother about my own birthday but, My daughter and two sons called around with gifts for me. The really must know how much art means to me as I was very surprised that amongst the gifts was a life drawing session from my daughter in the Palm House, you can imagine my fear and excitement at actually attending an art class, with real people, the 4th of April, I can't wait. I take photos on my phone and since I started painting, I can't get the detail I want anymore from a photo on a phone. Guess what, I got a kodak with 42 x zoom. I can't believe it. I have to say, the drawing class and the camera, it, really is the best birthday ever. My friend owns the old ferry the Daffodil, I'll be down the dock taking photos this week for sure.
