Full of energy.  Takes me back a few years .
Sketch of Ukraine scene.
Good sketching  Bari and Denice. No sketching from me as I have been working on a mural in my bedroom!🤪. It’s an attempt to disguise some dodgy plastering!! So you are getting that!!
Good start, can't wait to see it when it's finished Gillian.
Great idea Gillian ,are you going to do the whole wall ?  It will look so pretty. This is a quick sketch in my little black book.  The Gorse on my Sam walk is delightful at the moment.
Gorse looks so pretty ..  until you get up close! Lovely sketch Sylvia. As for the mural I’m not sure how much wall will be used. I was thinking of two or three branches coming in from the left hand side rather than the whole wall. I will maybe just go wherever it takes me!
It will be lovely Gillian.
Out for lunch today at Birsay Bay Tearooms overlooking the sea. Not too shoddy with this view along the bay
Not shoddy at all, Gillian.  I just 'travelled' there via Google Street View.  You've caught it rather well, especially the rolling surf.
I'm going to do a big watercolour of a circus tent type theme. Before I start it, I am using up a brand of small paper I don't like, very much to try the idea and colours out. So I'll do a series of these small watercolours to practice and see what colours I like best before I start a big one. These small ones won't be to detailed. This is the first sketch idea.
The Ukraine sketch I did, I will paint that also as the journalist, who filmed those scenes of people crossing, was killed today and I feel because when people are just doing their job, reporting the truth to the World, they pay, the highest price, imaginable. The images he filmed, had a big impact on me, that's why I sketch a few. He filmed the inhumanity of it all with compassion. There was horror, yet tenderness in what he filmed. It's not a case of being political, it's just a case of what is right and what is wrong. When I paint this sketch, I will make sure I do it justice.
