Thought I’d set this up for another month as everyone seems to be enjoying it. Keep ‘em coming folks.
Thanks Tessa for setting this up! You just beat me to it!
All keen to get going Gillian! I have art group this morning so will see what happens there. No ideas in my head yet!
Thanks for setting this going Tessa.  So my first one is of a ladybird I uncovered when clearing some weeds in the garden, probably looking for a home for the winter.
Hilary the ladybird is a wonderful sketch. I plan to try a bit more sketching this month.
Nice ladybird Hilary. Looks like October is off to a flying start. Well, I managed to capture one of the roos at the bottom of the garden keeping an eye on me through the fence. Quick sketch in charcoal.
Super start to October all. I looked over my garden fence, no kangaroos there so at class this morning I did another version of the canoeists spotted the other day, this time in gouache. Incidentally my Artist magazine arrived earlier, in their world it’s already November! I’ll never understand that.
Lovely ladybird Hilary. Great kangaroo Ron. Like your canoeists Tessa particularly impressed by the reflections i the water. Just a late night sketch from me in ink and light wash of water.
Here's one I did a few days ago from a photo for a birthday card for my daughters friend - apparently where she held her reception.  Leicester City Rooms.
Some good work in this new month from everyone, mine this afternoon is a sketch from my recent holiday photos, in preparation for a watercolour (maybe)
Some good architectural subjects here. Your old window has great character Gillian but wouldn’t keep the drafts out!  Michael, what a lovely idea for a card, very personal. Katy, that would make a really nice watercolour, especially with the stag in the foreground. This is from a photo of my baby grandson in his Panda suit. I call it Panda Paws.
Wow so many great sketches and colours already, I haven’t had time to do a specific sketch as yet and going out for dinner and to see my granddaughters later,  I’m posting the start of a painting, it’s in the initial stage with base colours, boring I know it’s another tree, have this itch at the moment resolved by painting trees.
