More super sketches, drawings and paintings over past two days! It’s great to see our numbers swelling too! Quite preoccupied with my upcoming move back to UK but not moving furniture etc thank goodness as will be back for holidays once we have a grip on Covid, so art taken a back seat! Anyway I have just spent a wee while with a pen and watercolour!

Everyone has been busy with a lot of very good sketches. Gillian, I hope your move goes well. At the moment I’m struggling to find the time to sketch. Finding it really refreshing being able to catch up every few days and see such diverse pieces of work. I’m sure things will settle down soon and I’ll get back on that wagon.

Hi, I'm new to the forum. My name is Judith and I
love working with watercolour even on those days when you know the paint is not in sync with your hand and brush! I have been attending classes in Auckland NZ for the past four years, once a week throughout term time and the vibe in the classroom with our excellent tutor is always great. I'm taking a break this term so the painters-online site piqued my interest as way to stay in touch with other painters while I'm away from the actual classes. Landscapes and figurative works seem to be my favourites and at the moment I am attempting a street scene taken while on holiday in Naples a few years ago. It's a little tricky but think I'll probably have to make several stabs at it before I am close to getting the buildings right etc. The attached painting is one I did from a tiny photo in my granny's album - somewhere I think in Wales during WW1 and probably taken by my grandfather when on leave.
Cheers
