Marjorie that’s a lovely Newbiggin sketch, a real seaside look to it. And now for something completely different! Came back from my dog walk earlier, took the boots off, and thought aha! Boot taker offer thingumajig.Tessa is that the technical name boot take offer thingumajig or is that what there known as in Wales. No matter what it’s call is an excellent sketch.![]()

The daily sketch does get us eyeing up all sorts of things to sketch, doesn't it? January saw me working through the kitchen on occasion! Like your beetle boot thing, Tessa - very nicely drawn.
I was at art class today - this is a quick sketch done near the end whilst waiting for watercolour to dry on my main piece - from another of my RSPB Mersehead photos - drawn using wc and a brush rather than pencil, one of the reasons why there is white space still round the ducks - need to find
a solution for doing that (I really hate using masking fluid, always seem to end up taking off the surface of the paper too!).

Anjana, love your vase of daffs and carriage clock, such a variety of keys Christopher well drawn, Great sketch of Altringham Marjorie, and Tessa, like Marjorie at first glance I thought it was a scarab beetle, going with Marjorie's and my Egypt theme lol, lovely design though. Lots of different ideas still coming through.
Mine isn't a sketch its a mixed media painting, really must do more quick sketches.

Linda, it's Newbiggin, Northumberland - didn't know there was one in Altringham. Clever little w.c. Margaret, lovely colours. Kingfishers have such beautiful colours - I like the simple suggested background Linda. Nicely done w.c. Fox Alan. Re mine....feel guilty. Went out with my sketch book etc, had coffee in a caff and did this through the window😔Will do better next time....ps. It was only a thin pane of glass between me and the view.

Wonderful sketches everyone on wide variety of subjects - Christopher’s keys, Marjorie’s Newbiggin by the sea, Tessa’s boot taker offer thingy, Linda’s kingfisher, Margaret’s geese, Alan’s fox all fabulous sketches. Margaret – I will be interested in your solution, as I too hate masking fluid, only solutions i can think of is lifting from a wash or gouache at the end.
Mine is a sketch while stewarding at an exhibition of two fabulous pots.

Wow, I’ll get a comment in here before the page turns!
Super strong kingfisher and fox, Linda and Alan, and some more gorgeous geese Margaret. Anjana I love your pots, another different fascinating subject, and Dixie a great old car. I remember my dad having a car with a running board, which makes me older than I want to be!
Off to art group later so will see what that produces!
