Beautiful watercolour of sloes and the boat along with a great story Dixie. Linda yes noticed you are a fellow nottinghamian so got a bit nosey and found you on etsy(lovely shop) and insta :-D! Linda the gold glitter really enhances your Cleopatra sketch, gorgeous painting of the highlands Alan, Tessa great study of daffs in vase, Margaret’s observatory in Edinburgh, not an easy subject to do quickly but you have pulled it off in your trademark style, Marjorie good likeness in your fabulously drawn portrait. Mine is a quick  sketch, daffs in a vase, not a glass one so minus the added complexity :-)
I can tell you love that car Christopher! Another different and good sketch Anjana.

Wonderful Observatory sketch Margaret, great big buildings in Edinburgh which suit your style. The ship with sand Dixie is fascinating, I had thought it was a wave. Marjorie, your Burton is excellent, so young! Christopher I love your little mini, and Anjana, your daffs and clock are lovely.  Now looking for inspiration for today ....!
So many things being posted, thought I'd better have a look before art class or I might struggle to catch up!  Loving how this daily sketch is developing. That car sketch is so well done, Christopher - you have given it character; beautifully drawn still life, Anjana - lovely.
Brilliant work again everyone wish I could do portraits that good Marjorie and Linda. Here's a quick sketch of my new to me car a Mini Cooper S only had it a few weeks. Done with gel pens and mono soft brush pens.

So sorry Christopher, don't know how I missed your lovely car in mono, think the car is rather pleased with his new owner he/she has a cheeky grin :-)
Got in early today as was at my sketch club where we had to draw key's the first one was a rubbing through paper as it was sealed in a small envelope. Looking forward to all the sketches on here today.
You do have some interesting and different ideas at your art club Christopher. Well done to whoever is in charge! Nice one, and something we haven’t had before.
15 - 20 mins, better time and a sketch not a " study", which is what I've been tending to do - enjoyment took over. Now I'm going to try for "sketches". I like your key sketches, Christopher, interesting idea.

Wouldn't have thought of drawing keys - very nicely drawn, Christopher - we are getting a huge variety on here!   That is a lovely sketch, Marjorie - beautiful detail.  No rules on this thread re length of time - sketches and studies both accepted!   I'm mostly doing very quick sketches, but that is because I'm lazy and have also got quite a lot of other things on just now!

Marjorie that’s a lovely Newbiggin sketch, a real seaside look to it. And now for something completely different! Came back from my dog walk earlier, took the boots off, and thought aha! Boot taker offer thingumajig.
Tessa, as I read your description I had half an eye on the sketch, jumped to the idea that it was a giant beetle you'd found on your boot.
Thank goodness no. At least you think it looks like a beetle!
