Great work going inform everyone, welcome Sandi. Has anyone noticed in the junk mail we are getting notified on all work going into our forum challenges, if you don.t keep checking your junk this really mounts up, not sure I want this service!!Linda, I only seem to receive emails if someone comments on my work in the gallery. This goes straight into my email account. I have received no emails from our forum challenge. This could be because most of comments aimed at me have been in new posts not as a quote like this one.

Hi everyone, I am new to this site and just trying to get my head around everything but I am loving all your works. You all seem to be having a wonderful time together. Just in a few minutes here, I have had a smile, a giggle and feel happy I registered.Welcome Sandi, you have come to a fun place to be. Look forward to seeing your work, either here or in the gallery.

Popped in for a look...this thread is still running full steam ahead. Great. Lots of good stuff. I don't think your drawing is cattywampus, Marjorie. Mine are all the time. Welcome to Sandi.
Rained in, did this sketch this morning. I used a ref pic, but made no attempt to 'copy' it. (???) I'm a bit conflicted about copying stuff, don't know why...most of the illustrators I admire do it all the time. Guess I don't feel it's really mine if I've copied it. (ANYWAY, LET'S GET OFF THAT SUBJECT!) I did it to remind myself of the things it's easy to forget when you're making stuff up...the face isn't the same both sides, the eyes can be slightly different, and the wrinkles definitely are.
This is done with a blue soluble colored pencil and a damp clean brush...a lovely quick way to sketch. Some areas get paler when they dry out...the eyes looked right when I first did them. But it's only a sketch...I intend to fill this page in my A3 sketchbook with them, when I'm stuck for something to do.
