I love your use of inktense on the gate Linda, they make it come to life Margaret your sketching of the flowers and vase, with the right amount of colour is very effective.. Here is mine for today, it is inspired by a friends photo of her Tin mugs, which they love to drink out of when ever they are out.
I love those old red lamps Paul, thanks for posting, brought back memories of another lifetime! I like the old railway lamps too. Alan, you shouldn't have, I know it was for me😉 Linda, your old door is interesting, I've got a future painting involving an old wall, peeling paint and window. Margaret, those are fine excuses! Hoovering, visiting friends and dinner guests? What's M&S for? ( No, me neither ) compliments for getting in that sketch. Mine will appear later hopefully.
Alan that’s a lovely red rose and a good story about your night out! Also your two tin mugs which set off a good landscape. Linda, what a lovely old door, full of character, and makes me wonder what’s behind it! Margaret, another beautiful vase of flowers which has inspired my evening offering of yet more daffs! I put a rough wash of yellow gouache in first, then pen, and finally the green.
Those enamel tin mugs look very realistic Alan. I remember my mam had enamel tins especially for rice pudding! This is one of my collection of little elephants, done on i pastel app ( which was free at the time I downloaded it ). Simple to use. Just spotted your nice daffs Tessa!

Great tin mugs I have the one I was issued when I joined up, a lovely vase of daffodils, what a lovely looking elephant an£ nice lamp to finish. My contribution today continues the theme of times past,  before the days of H&S and stricter laws, at age 11 I would go to the garage pay the man and fill the can myself. The paraffin was for the Aladdin heater that we using , no double glazing or central heating, in the married quarters in those days. A5 watercolour and water soluble graphite pencil.
Tessa, Like the way you have completed your Daffs. Marjorie, Great looking little elephant. Dixie, I remember the Esso blue cans (just). My mums dad,  ran a petrol station in Broadwas, and when staying with them, or on holidays, we always helped fill the cans. My Dads mum, always sent us on a Saturday to the ironmongers to collect theirs for our treat money. The other two things that stay in the mind are the slogans boom boom boom, or was it (bum, bum, bum, bum,) Esso blue, and the classic song smoke gets in your eyes. Christopher, nice little lamp with a great glow.

Just quick comments this morning, mugs, daffs, elephant, lamp, esso blue well done all, off to start on lunchtime dinner, not time for painting!! have a good day and hope you are all dry after the deluge of wind and rain we had yesterday.
Actually just dug out a Sylvia sketch book ..with the aim of sketching new  , wicked ,rescue doggo.  And found this. Done ,some summers ago at the international Eistedfodd in Llangollen.   They are some crazy Rhajistan group who were so funny.   This was done as they were prancing around on the stage .  It’s done in neo colour crayon.  They saw me drawing them and immediately played just for me. Wonderful.. If you have never been to the International eistedfodd you are really missing out.
