Sorry Tessa yours popped up while posting. Very nice little country scene.
As I have said before I browse when the opportunity arises and love all the additional work already done since yesterday.  The lighthouse one is particularly apt!
You've been busy Alan. Tessa, like your watercolour, impressionist style. Mine is a slightly skew whiff oil lamp. I started drawing it from the top - completely out of proportion, so started again from half way, going downwards, glass added at end, much easier.
Really like both your sketches, Tessa and Alan.  Tessa, lovely colours and composition; and Alan - so topical, and works beautifully.  Beautifully drawn lamp, Marjorie.

Alan, That's a great sketch and very appropriate for the weather at moment,  Marjorie I quite often. start at the middle of a sketch I think you get the proportions better and your lamp is lovely
Quickish sketch with fountain pen and white Gelly Roll on Nova pad.  My husband.
This a sketch from a photo I took of some Fungi Pen and Wash
And agin some great work posted, in not going to name individual post as I’m bound to forget some one. A very quick sketch pencil and a bit of watercolour. From a photo taken last year when we found this dormouse asleep whilst coppicing hazel. Wrapped it up and put it back gentle, didn’t even wake up.
Margaret and Christopher, something different again - good ones! Paul, love that little story. Something similar happened to me one Autumn - little mouse in nest in compost bag - it leapt up, I screamed, then felt awful for destroying its little home unintentionally - all that hard work!

I like your lamp Marjorie. As Linda says often best to start in the middle, then you don’t run out of paper! Margaret, a lovely loose drawing of the hubby, easy to do after a certain time of day as they don’t move much then! Christopher your fungi is/are lovely, sharp drawing and colours, and Dixie your sweet little dormouse is very cute. You were lucky to see one. My sketch for today is a handful of green grapes in a cup, very quickly done.
Like you, Tessa, I've done a very quick one because I've started two paintings. It was a break to do the sketch because my eyes had been concentrating too much. I am finding, generally, that sketching has become a form of relaxation, which is good. Husband looking at a chess site.
