Hello I am back :-) Christopher love the glow on your hanging lamp, beautifully done. Will comment on previous pages in a mo. I thought I'd do a quick sketch of an iguana. Those scales and lumps and bumps, must be heaven for those who like drawing details.
Anjana I think you have captured the likeness of the iguana well even without lots of detail very well done.
Thank you Christopher. Tessa what a clever choice of subject wire fence, the coloured version has the edge for me. A completely different style of bold mark making in your grape sketch. I missed loads, love the ones reflecting the weather very apt, certainly was very blustery, great portraits Dixie, Marjorie and Margaret. Linda lovely painting of St Oswald’s church, both crops work for me. Wonderful Mice - both wildlife and the computer kind, hare, horse, deftly drawn eye, foot and hand holding pear – wow you have been extremely busy!
Margaret's Tulips, Hands (brilliant Marjorie )  Alans horses head, Think it was Tessa's  eye, Pauls truck, Christopher's hanging lamp, and Aljana's reptile, think I have them all this morning but apologies if I missed anyone, all good sketches again. Finished my hare yesterday and will post later. Off to do a shop now!!!
Well, another grand and varied selection, Dixie’s old truck, good as ever, Alan’s handsome horse, Marjorie’s beautifully sketched hand and pear,Margaret’s lovely tulips, always good, Christopher’s stylish lamp, great detail, and Anjana’s iguana, almost a rhyme! Here, the boys in yellow are back relaying the footpaths outside our house, we are surrounded by lorries, JCBs etc, but at least it gives me something on hand to sketch!
Some really good work, nice horse, a lovely pear, flowers, lamp, iguana and a rare sight of men working ( not just looking in the hole). My today’s is a simple watercolour sketch of the old gate into the orchard a Bradenham Manor, done in the sunshine yesterday, but it was bl——y cold.
Great sketch of your workmen Tessa, lots going off and I do like the touch of yellow on the jackets. Dixie you are so brave to sketch outside, I would have got blown away yesterday!! not much better this morning. nice gentle colours in your sketch/painting.
My Brown Hare drawing finished, Decided to do this in graphite pencil and uni posca pen in black and white on A4 Daler Rowney sketching paper. The background is in 8B graphite pencil, the branches have been achieved with an electric eraser.
What a wonderful selection today. Linda, your hare is a beauty. Like how you've lost some edges. Lovely colours on the brickwork Paul, the door looks old and in need of a coat of paint, altogether a very nice painting. Tessa, your sketches of people working are always interesting and from an unusual angle. And Anjana's iguana, going towards the exotic again, how our minds turn in different directions! Christopher, your lamp really glows.  Back to painting now, for me. Sketch later.
Quick sketch of the painting I'm currently doing.
