Super composition Linda - look forward to seeing the colour version. Alan, hoping rugby is a good match (though weather at the moment in Edinburgh is pretty grim) but obviously I'm looking for a different result! I do like your 6 nations paint off though! and groan re camel joke! :)
Gudrun, glad you have managed to find time to follow the thread a bit and to post today - I know it can be hard to find the time and/or enthusiasm - I like the colours you have used in your study.

It’s Ok Dixie, it can happen you start a post and when you Finnish, some more good work has been posted. As for jokes they come straight out of book 4 of Tony Blackburn ‘s jokes to impress.. Nice to see you Gudrun lovely work. Sorry Margaret I think the weather won the rugby, perhaps they should just stayed indoors and painted.t

Dixie your owl is beautiful, so difficult to get the feathers looking good but you have! Linda and Margaret, lovely landscape sketches. Gudrun, that’s very different to your usual figure work but lovely gentle colours. If I’ve missed anyone, apologies, didn’t want to turn back a page and lose everything!
Oh and Alan yes I do think post your 6 Nations paint offs on the day, more topical that way, but that’s just my opinion!
I’ve been busy with visitors and watching rugby today, so dug out this sketch of Syrian bomb damage which I did a while ago from a news article, because I liked the shapes and outlines and thought it might make an interesting painting at some stage.

Missed yesterday's sketch, and today's too possibly. Just catching up :-)
Dixie sorry to hear that your hand is poorly, hope it improves soon, love the painted old truck and how lovely that your granddaughters helped. Fantastic pose on your owl, so lively.
Marjorie's Tynemouth Priory in colour, Alan’s Whitby Abbey, Linda's Grasmere Lakes, Margaret's pen and wash of Salisburys Crags, Tessa's loose Down Stream Bridge all fabulous sketches. Love your adorable badger Linda and your camel Margaret in very energetic lines.
Christopher - silhouette on map, interesting new things you do at the sketch club, lovely effect. Alan as to your paint offs, agree with others I am enjoying seeing them as the games are played. Tessa another unusual subject beautifully executed and lovely to see your wonderful study Gudrun. Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Very unusual sketch Tessa, hope you kept your feet dry Chris. I was thinking about the boats at sea in the current weather conditions. My thoughts were more with the smaller fishing boats, came across and a photograph of a boat trying to outrun the storm, and get to harbour. I was surprised at how close the buildings were in the photograph. Started last night and finished off very early today. I’m not to happy with the buildings.
