Yes I thought the same Jim....good one Gill.
Just to add - before it gets lost in the depths of the thread - I do like Bill's tree, and combination of materials used to create it.

Thanks Robert. I've actually worked on it since then. Here's the final tree - I gave it to the B&B owner as a gift, for several years of excellent hospitality. If anyone is thinking of holidaying in Dumfries I recommend The Hutton Lodge.

love the pigeons Denise, I really like Bills tree.  I have been engrossed in using my Inktense pencils, and have a found a you tube channel with plenty of advice. the site #wonders of watercolour, #Helen Campbell. demonstrates,(YOUTUBE Video) and provides pencil drawing and reference photo from Facebook page. here is one of my efforts. from a wet bank holiday Monday.
These pencils might have been specially made for you, they suit you and vice versa.
Beautiful, Alan!
That’s a superb tree Bill and Alan yet flower is superb. A couple of  sketches from me one pencil the other is a watercolour sketch with pen. The paper is a4 very cheap at £7 for fifty sheets , I was quite rough with it and deliberately use lots of water , I was quite impressed as it only cockled slightly.
great sketching Paul, really like the second one.
Here is my second Inktense flower from the weekend. Thanks Helen Campbell for the photo it is drawn from.
There's a lot of good work on this thread now. Alan, I like your flower studies, especially the first. They give a sense of real flowers not always found.  Paul, I'm enjoying your sketches too. Keep them coming.
Alan your flowers are beautifully done!  Like your figures too Paul and like Alan I particularly like the second Japanese inspired one. I have just got my pastel pencils out for an airing and here is the result
Lovely work Alan and nice sketch Gillian.
