Hi I have to say I have been enjoying keeping in contact  with the sketch a day and it encourages me to get creative most days. Anyone else wanting to keep it going?
Gillian I will keep going I won’t promise everyday, but will do my best to do so. I agree it’s as much the banter as it’s the sketches. I did wonder if someone would suggest continuing. I will try to get something done for today , if I can. Hopefully we will get some taker if not we can sort something out.
No sketch today I’m afraid, but I have posted an old watercolour sketch of a bee eater I did a while ago as a starter. Tomorrow’s another day!
Well done Gillian, I did wonder if anyone would!  Can’t believe we are half way through this peculiar year. I didn’t see this earlier and had done this sketch watching the train programme on telly, here’s my train driver. Nice bee eater by the way, don’t think I’ve ever seen one except maybe stuffed!
Two nice works to start the month,  I have been working on a painting today so posting this I did last night. The cracks in the metal look darker on the actual painting.
Love a rusty chain Dixie. Great you can sketch and watch tv Tessa. I have never been great at multi tasking!  Here’s an ink and wash sketch of Stromness Orkney. Such a quaint town! I have a little house there.
You have homes in two beautiful parts of the world Gillian! What a lovely spot. Plenty of character in that old chain Dixie. Thought I’d get back to my watercolour tonight with this country path with flowers.
Two good paintings from you both. I have not done anything today , so I’m going to post this of a old engine I started a couple of days ago and have come to a sudden stop. Hope to go back to it eventually.
Thought I might join in with your sketch a day, love everyone’s postings so far. So much detail in the old engine Paul already and the colours on your chain are scrumptious. Mine is a postcard of an imaginary scene of fishing on a lake at dusk.
That’s some machine Dixie! Katy that’s a lovely gentle watercolour, especially from your imagination. Something different from me today, a neighbour got us some eggs yesterday and they came in a lovely sturdy littlecardboard box so here it is, harder than I thought!
Thank you Tessa. Love the egg box!
Some great sketches and quite diverse! Thanks for your comments! Quick sketch of a local gorge and suspended cliff walkway
