Your paintings look superb hanging and framed Alan.
Well said Andrew, and yes it’s time to end the thread with your comment to finish it off.
I’ve found it interesting and it has highlighted a somewhat ‘grey’ area. For me personally, I’ll continue to enter, partly because it gives me something to focus on, which I do need. Andrew, your work (in my opinion) is certainly of a good enough standard to enter, if fact you have won an award in the past - but I totally understand your point and ultimate decision.

Andrew - well done.  All - as the standard of work increases, as it has, these distinctions are getting a bit academic; and that's a good thing, even if it gives the organizers a headache at times.  So accentuate the positives, eliminate the negatives .... I've forgotten the rest: Jungle Book? 
"You gotta accentuate the positive, Eleminate the negative, Latch on to the affirmative, Don't mess with Mr. In-Between... Bing Crosby, as I remember.
