I unfortunately didn’t have time to sketch yesterday evening but I will share with you three books I bought second hand yesterday less than £7 and all in great condition. The Fundamentals boo is very large as it contains three book in one . I have posted some of the work from Alwyn Crawshaw ‘s book , he talks about how personal a sketchbook is and is normally a very private thing that not shared .
I mentioned yesterday that Alwyn has a lovely style of drawing… you can see that in these pages! His trees are so good, but just look at those animal drawings! And just look at that double page, every bit of it used up! Nice find Paul…
I’ve had such a busy few days that it’s been difficult to fit any time in to sketch . I did this layout sketch for a painting last night it’s about fifteen minutes work , it’s based on a black and white photo of Claude Muncaster sat painting .  He is one of the many marine artists I’m currently studying as part of my course in the history of marine art, whist the photo is of him I won’t try to do a accurate image of the great man my skill in figure and portrait painting isn’t that good. I was inspired simply by the photo and of course the subject matter, if it’s got a boat in it then I’m interested.
A quick scribble sketch dine in just a few minutes.
Love that Dixie…yay.
A quick tv sketch from me- I found a Derwent Graphitone pencil, dark wash, in my bag of tricks-so tried a few little faces using as normal pencil (on the right) and then adding water before and after pencil for the other two. Good fun.

Love your sketches Dixie. Great expressions Tessa.
Thank you Sandra. One of my time limited sketch’s fifteen minutes and stop even if it’s not quite finished. I do love these rusty old traction engines well anything rusty really  trucks, car, tractors old tools etc even rusty screws and nails .
Very good 15 minute sketch Paul. Tells everything about the old traction engine.
I'm on a site for figure drawing but I just used the picture to do this quickly as I'm in the middle of decorating. Charcoal reduction sketch.
More interesting sketches.  I like seeing these embryo pictures. I don't know if you still want scribbly sketches.  The scribbles below are me trying to find the look for a more detailed sketch.  'A government spokesman'.  So it's a sketch for a sketch in my case.  ?? I'm preferring the one on the right at the moment, but I doubt the finished drawing will look like this. In the same sketchbook I found scribbles for a drawing I posted some years back... ...it ended up like this...in another, better quality sketchbook.... So still a sketch.  Most of my turnout is sketches.  In case you were wondering.... 'Ludophobic' means 'fear of playing games.'  These defunct words interest me, but I can seldom remember them.
I do like your pre sketch sketch’s Lew and it’s the sort of thing that I was hopeful of seeing not just he finished pics.
