After this short course I plan to join something more permanent where I'll have access to live models for life drawing, painting and portrait.Quick sketching isn't what I want to do, I prefer to do more detailed work so need models that can sit for a few hours.
A well observed and competent drawing Denise…  I think that’s a good route to take eventually, but these quick drawings are just as important in your life-class development…
I will keep doing them as I know they are important in a much larger process and that I will get some benefit from them. I set time aside especially for life drawing even though I'm working on detailed still life work with my cast. I'm very glad I did set time aside for it, as it is something I will continue.
I think you doing the right thing for you Denise and that is the most important thing. Your art  journey so far has been amazing I personally look forward to seeing how it develops in the future. I’ve not had to time to sketch unfortunately as life gets in the way sometimes, I did make time to sketch out this one for a painting. A wooden trawler in the boatyard for repairs, it something I’ve wanted to do for a long time and keep putting it off , I wanted to show the ribbing under the planking that we never see unless its stripped back .  It looks a detailed sketch but it’s not really that detailed as a lot of the under the skin will be dark .

Good on you Denise , we all  tackle stuff  differently…lol
Yes, I find I like to tackle a bit of everything.
Your dedication to learning has made you a really fine artist Denise. It has been a pleasure to follow your progress.
Fabulous sketch, Dixie. Sheep sketch with a touch of watercolour -
Carol, I love your ewe painting. Character beautifully captured, especially the softness of the fleece.…..is she a Cheviot?
That’s a superb painting Carol , it very obvious that  know sheep I suppose that come with working with them . It’s  fine working with them but to get a excellent result like you have is another thing, it’s a good demonstration of your skill . You should put it on the gallery.

Thankyou, Marjorie. You are very close with your identification, its a Cheviot cross. Crossed with what I don't know. You have a good eye.

Many thanks, Dixie. I take quite a few pictures of them, I don't always get round to doing anything with them, but they're there, just incase. I'll pop this one in the gallery :)
