Same, it looks better with the added wash.
Groundsman from my local park taking a lunch break. Pencil and fluorescent highlighter in my sketchbook.
Excellent sketch Andrew .
Excellent indeed.
Lovely spontaneous sketch Andrew. Grab the moment !
Fude pen and ink
Like it  George , I must buy myself a Fude pen to try .
Fude pens are great, nice sketch George.
Cult Pens is the place to go for Fude pens (and inks); I have two, one Japanese, one Chinese - they took a bit of getting used to, but I tend to use them every day now.
I can’t get on with them… bought a decent one a year ago and I just don’t like them. I’ll stick with my Rotring Ticky 0.2 and my Tombow… those two are used in every sketch I post!
i love your sketches so much George, but i'm a fude pen hater, It always reminds me how I destroy a nib when it doesn't work at all - and then it looks like a fude :)
Without wishing to prolong  this excessively - you either hate them or love them, I think - I like their ability to make a very thick line right down to a very thin one; you can cover a lot of territory quickly with them.  But Alan's recommendations - i.e. the pens he uses - are very useful: I shall be off to find a source for them.    I like writing with them, too, by the way - they add a character to my characters, as it were.
