I like your sketch Brett, it's bright, colourful and spontaneous and looks like you enjoyed making it. One of mine from a couple of days ago, another view of the missing gate in graphite pencil

Thank you George. A nice technique in your sketching. In fact in a way I’m trying to use paint in a similar way to sketching.  Edit: Sorry, I thought you were referring to the work I just put on the Gallery.

That’s a superb sketch George it will make a fine painting. I haven’t done much loose sketching for a while other commitments , I have been trying dip pens and India ink to set up painting , these two are works in progress. I find I’m actually enjoying these more than just painting, sketching is something I’ve done since childhood and find it so relaxing, painting came later .
Great sketching Paul. I like your painting on the gallery as well Brett, you posting good watercolours.
A loose watercolour sketch using up the leftover paint in the pallet, waste not . Hope I don’t upset our railway buff with my crude drawing of the engines, the fire is from emptying the firebox to clear out the ash etc .
The overall composition and colours are excellent Paul - a great sense of the occasion with that red glow contrasting against the greys.
I agree with Alan, Paul. As a kid (a very long time ago) I used to sneak into Temple Meads Bristol to watch scenes identical to this in and around the engine sheds.
My sketch/ drawing for today. A farm at Broughton near Biggar being gutted ready for restoration. From a photo with permission from John Forbes.
Wonderful work George! I love old barn interiors but try finding one these days…
Very true Alan, My Scottish photographer friend John Forbes actually found this one Just south of Edinburgh and challenged me to do something with his photograph of it.
My sketch done this morning - Old Farm Buildings, pen and wash.
This is a beauty Alan. Your sketches are always very interesting and so well done.
