No, I’m happy for you to keep him, Alan!  I’ve also got quite a few to introduce as well as an art club exhibition to organise next month.
Wow you sound a busy lady Jenny , do you get any time of for  good behaviour.
I’ve no problem fitting these intro’s in for this excellent thread, I quite enjoy doing them -  they don’t take me long to do and hopefully other artists on here are enjoying them.

It works Alan because we have people who have so much knowledge about art and artists . I won’t name people because I’m bound to forget someone, but there is a core of members that happily and willingly give there time to offering advice and sharing knowledge. It’s this friendliness that make this site  work so well for its members and long nay it continue . It would be nice to know how many people enjoy the thread and in the last few days we have had a couple of people participating for the first time , that’s great and hopefully more will in the future. I do keep meaning to ask Dawn if there is a way to promote the thread , I will message her now while I thinking about it .
Whilst I open the thread on the Sunday evening Michale you don’t need to add anything till the Monday . I only start it on the Sunday so that it’s there first thing Monday as I know some of you good people look in in early morning.  If Linda wants to go first that not a problem I will just reverse the names when I open the thread .  Hope your enjoying your time away and the weather  is good.

Sorry I will not be back until Wednesday next week, so a bit early for me.  I’m currently on Mull and telephones and internet are iffy.  Wikipedia is a good source of information on artists if anyone is researching.  I think Google Arts holds electronic photos of all paintings in museums and public art galleries.
I will change the week of your choice Linda to give you more time , hope the holiday is going well.  Ad we have people on holidays I’m making a change to next week.  Sylvia would you please start us off next week with your choice - Vincent Van Gogh , and Michael if you would follow on with Kandinsky on Wednesday, hopefully that will give you more time as well. Linda I have moved your choice ahead a week, I will remind you in time and hopefully you will have the time to prepare.

That's great Paul - Wednesday it is for Kandinsky.
Thank you Michael, I will set the new thread up on Sunday evening as usual and Sylvia can add her paintings then or Monday morning. If you post yours anytime after Wednesday lunch time that will be fine .
I’m jumping the gun here I realise bug unfortunately I have to be at the hospital at 8: 15 in the morning and won’t be back till early evening. Taking the liberty and posting my choice earlier, hope you don’t mind  . Fredrick William Elwell 1870 - 1958 mainly painted portraits including  the Royal  Family, he painted the occasional landscape and Still life . He is new to me and one of the many I have recently discovered while researching for the thread, I have pick a random select hope you enjoy his artwork.
I had already taken a look at his work when you said he would be your choice for this week.  I do like some of his interiors.  These two are my favourites, especially the Pigs in a Barn.  It’s a beautiful painting full of light and warmth.

Two excellent choices Jenny I co like how when you look down the hallway in the top one the sunlight is filtering through the window. The pig barn is indeed a beautiful painting I agree with you about the light and warmth.
