Oops! Replying to Russell. Dennis wasn’t very well a year or two ago…he’s a big miss on the site. As is Andre Mulard and several others…..
I will make a note of all these names and maybe we could have a week looking at gallery members who no longer post for whatever reason.  I was aware that Sylvia left POL then fortunately returned, I’m sure you can come up with quite a few people from the earlier days Sylvia . Off tangent just letting yiu know that Sylvia gave me three names of artists that have inspired her , Van Gough, Ralph Thompson who she will introduce next we having stepped in at short notice , her third choice she decided might be to controversial as it Rolf Harris , I can understand the  and feeling about him but should we still view his work in isolation if possible, I would value your thoughts.
Syd Edwards who thought I was a Bonnie Lass . Blood Axe ..we has a few skirmishes.   Beatrice Cloake is still painting though has the same eye probs as me,, Derek Snowdon Roberts friend.   Lovely Michael Edwards, Martin Williams, and of course Adebanji Alade…is he still on the one show?    I still hear from Diana Hudson-who was a judge at

I also often wonder how Dennis Rounding is.  He was a constant presence on the site when I first joined POL and always had such encouraging words for new members.  I also miss seeing Margaret Mallows’  beautiful reduction linocuts.

I remember, Blood Axe, Dennis, Syd, Michael and Derek. Some of us did not use our proper names to log in. I think Sylvia was 'Blue' before she left, I logged in with Maud or something similar, so long ago.
Bloodaxe was before my time. Syd and Derek passed away some years ago, along with a few others. Dennis was always there to comment, he had and actually lived on a boat on the Broads as I recall…I wish he’d get in contact… assuming he’s able to of course!
I’m so glad we started this thread as it’s opened up into trip down memory lane for many people, most are before my time .I have been working on the program for  the next few months and I have set a week aside so we can look at the work of members who no longer post for whatever reason . At present it looks like it’s going to be w/c 7 April.
Carol I had forgotten I was Blue…..I don’t remember you from ancient times?    I just don’t remember a Maud…

You were also “ Northlight” Sylvia.
Haven't been keeping up the last 2-3 days. I know I'm a bit late but do want to acknowledge Sylvia, I have great admiration for her persistence, and love her paintings. Unfortunately I've run into the problem that the paintings in her gallery are WEPB file and I have no success trying to get them into the accepted image type. Had to go into Google Images to find some. Perhaps someone might like to advise how I could have done this?
