I think this is an excellent thread you've opened up Paul. There is a number of artists whose work I always followed and whom I really miss. I know that we've lost Syd, and I don't feel very positive about Dennis Rounding, knowing of his health problems. Michael Edwards, then Tao Barry seems to have disappeared, as has Barbara Shaw (fabric artist), does anyone know? I think showcasing the work of artists we've lost track of would be an excellent idea.
Oh yes Marjorie I had forgotten “North Light”    Your memory is excellent.   Sandra yjank you for your comments….Yes it woukd be good to play catch up with other ancients.. Another name from the past…Phil Kendall   We still chat on F B.   I got to know his Parrlot well when I broke my leg, Moses.

Carol I had forgotten I was Blue…..I don’t remember you from ancient times?    I just don’t remember a Maud…
Sylvia Evans on 18/01/2025 20:41:33 'ancient times' love it :) Like now, I was never high profile within the forum, just popped in to read and comment, now and again. I did have quite a big gallery, though, but when changes happened on the site, I lost my original gallery. I often deleted my work, but have now stopped doing this.
Bloodaxe, who used a characteristic yellow - as an irrelevant aside - has died: I've forgotten his real name for the moment; Michael Edwards hasn't been back since the death of his wife and acknowledgement of our commiserations - I hope he's still well: or as well as he can be at least.  Phil Kendall, whom I did mention earlier, Sylvia, is still alive and kicking, but various physical problems have stopped him painting: he and I remain in touch, and I'm still in touch with Diana Hudson and Béatrice Cloake too.  Eyesight and other problems abound, teaching me how lucky I've been so far - like several others, I've got my problems, but they don't stop me painting.  Nor do they stop Sylvia!    On  the whole, despite the occasional clash of artistic egos, we have got on well.  Those I miss, apart from the above, include Leslie Dabson, who is principally a marine artist, Jackie Simmonds, who looked in fairly briefly and looked out again, and a few on the Gallery, who rarely if ever visited the Forum - including Arnold Lowry, who I know has had health issues, and Seok Yam Chew, whom I've not noticed for a  while.
Another, that came to mind is, Tao. The last I heard she was taking an art class for beginners, at a local venue.
I apologise for the double posting of the above lovely painting by Sylvia. I had wanted to post some of her paintings to this thread when Paul started it, but was unable to change WEPB files to the accepted file type. This morning I had a computer expert here to help me with a number of things, and we looked at posting images to the Forum. I have to change the file type using "edit with paint", something I'd never have worked out myself. I have re-opened this thread so that I can make sure that I can do this now. I hope that Sylvia won't mind.
Oh Sandra…of course I don’t mind.   I am happy you .like them.
