She climbed out Russell , wasn’t as bad as I expected she did call me a Sod yesterday evening . But this morning she is still answered  my message. I’m pleased at the response to my posting her work and even more please for Sylvia, it so nice to see her work is appreciated and hopefully will help when she is feeling particularly despondent .
I am so humbled by all of the lovely responses , I have a wet hanky,   Just thank you everyone. Yes Paul you are a sod and Russell I have emerged from the back of the sofa. I think we should pick on someone else now.   Xx
Sylvia you are definitely an inspirational artist. Against all the odds you continue to create beautiful work. There are so many that I love it’s difficult to choose!  I love the lively watercolour sketch of the giraffe so effective! Your flowers are beautiful especially iris one of my favourite flowers!
What a lovely idea Paul. Sylvia you are an inspiration to us all - keep painting!
How to choose just a few of Sylvia’s paintings as favourites……what a challenge! Here are a few that I found, that show Sylvia’s talent and versatility regarding media, subject and of course not to forget, her sharpe and witty  sense of humour. I particularly admire Sylvia’s no nonsense advice when it comes to painting ….find something real and get on with it. You are an inspiration darling! This one is titled Dead Cat on Head……love it!
Please stop right now…. I lures  you all….. but my head won’t fit into my winter woolly hat. Smiley face and thank you…..
Well deserved, Sylvia. My favorite has already been posted, the shepherd and the sheep.  A smashing choice, Dixie.
Sylvia, it has been a pleasure to look through your gallery again and to see all your work posted on this thread. There are so many I like and here are some of them.
Inspired choice, Paul!  And - if anyone didn't know - Sylvia has been on POL from more or less the outset: she went away and came back with a new profile, so her actual "score" should be a lot higher than is shown.  I turned up a good deal later, into the world of Sylvia, Phil Kendall, Béatrice Cloake, the late Thea Cable and Ruth Dolan, and one who took the name Norder (not sure why, I never asked): aka (and I know I'm now going to have to go to Facebook to find out, because I've forgotten) Diana..... no, no, I've got it!  Diana Hudson!   They all enlivened the Forum and Gallery, and Sylvia still does, despite everything we all know about.
Going off on a tangent but with Robert mentioning several names above I was wondering if anyone knows anything of Dennis Rounding? I do apologise Sylvia but I've no idea how to start a thread.
Oh, the good old days! We are all ancient now and we have some good followers-on! ( Not ready to give up the ghost yet though!)

I think I replied but it isn’t showing…..Dennis wasn’t well some years ago, hope all is ok. Andre Mulard is a miss too, as are quite a few others.
