I love the chalkiness of the colours on the front of the buildings and the gold dome just shimmers with light. A lovely painting of a beautiful city. P.S. This has been especially good for me to see as my husband landed in Venice yesterday on a photographic trip and I bet he looks at just this scene sometime during his stay.
