Corgi, watercolour and watercolour pencil

PaintersOnline member, Glennis Weston shares her techniques for painting a Corgi using watercolour pencils to celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

'Begin by transferring the line drawing in whichever way suits you best,' says Glennis. 'I used the trace method.

'For this demonstration I used watercolours and watercolour pencils. The benefit of watercolour pencils is the amount of control and detail they provide, they can also be used dry for a crisp line when needed.

'I am using Caran d’Ache Museum Aquarelle, Caran d'Ache Supracolour and Faber Castell watercolour pencils sharpened to a point so as to get extra detail.'
